Honoring our Heroes
November 10th, 2016 members of the 413 hosted an Open House and delivered gifts to the V.A. wing at Ft Bayard Medical Center including Elks leather gloves for use with wheelchairs, a DVD surround sound system for the recreation room, craft kits, and a hot chocolate/cappuccino machine.
On Veterans Day members donated $1000 to Jose Barrios Elementary School used to assist and provide gifts to Veterans at their program.
That evening Veterans of the 413 gathered for a dinner and were presented with Elks gloves and an embroidered blanket with the thanks of the entire lodge for ther service.

Lodge Year Silver City Elks #413 donated some $40,000.00 to various projects and needs in Grant County! Below are just a few.
Back to School Anti-bullying and Drug Awareness.
Thanks to our Youth Activities chairman Jose Fierro and Give Back Grant County along with Elks in August held an event that had over 200 in attendance at the Lodge. We gave 150 backpacks filled with school supplies, fed pizza and played games.

Silver City 413 Donated $840 to purchase school supplies, clothes, and new shoes to seven youth housed at the El Refugio Shelter.
$2000 Elks National Foundation Grant
With the ENF Gratitute Grant of $2000 Elks 413 was able to assist the Silver City Gospel Mission in August of 2015 in purchasing needed equipment for the kitchen and dinning area holding to Elks Care Elks Share!
In September and October The Silver City Elks 413 distributed over 300 new dictionaries purchased from the Dictionary Project to every 3rd Grader in the Silver and Cobre Consolidated School Districts covering Nine Elementary Schools.
On Veterans Day members of the 413 delivered 32 gift bags containing electric shavers, electric toothbrushes, quilts and misc. items to Veterans at Ft. Bayard Medical Center. The Lodge also hosted an appreciation dinner for Lodge Veteran members and presented them with certificates and embroidered jackets. The 413 was also able to donate the funds needed to Jose Barrios Elementary School to purchase medallions given to Veterans at the schools Veteran Day Program.
Breakfast with Santa
In December 2015 the 413 hosted a pancake breakfast with Santa. Over 150 people were fed and 70 Children were given gifts.
2016 Easter Eggstravaganza
On March 26, 2016 we hosted our 2nd Annual Event with featuring over 2300 candy and some money filled eggs, four jumping balloons, carnival style games, cake walks, and give aways. We grilled and served over 800 hot dogs and had 600 in attendance. The event was free to the community and was worth it to see the smiles on childrens faces.
On March 24, 2016 we Hosted a local family and presented them with new Gait Trainer values at over $3000 for thier child who has Cerebral Palsy. Elks Proudly support the youth of our area and especially those in need. ELKS CARE ELKS SHARE!
